Movers and Packers in Dubai

We move the furniture and we clear the paperwork — so nothing stops the truck at your gate.

Licensed · Insured Mover E Dubai crew loading a wrapped sofa into a covered truck in Dubai

Mover E Dubai is a licensed moving, packing and storage company operating in Dubai. Every move covers a pre-move survey, packing with our own materials, furniture dismantling and reassembly, transport in a covered truck, room-by-room placement, and storage when your dates do not line up.

We also file the building move-in or move-out permit, book the service lift, and issue the public liability insurance certificate your tower or community management asks for. Prices are confirmed in writing after the survey and do not change on moving day.

Movers carrying wrapped furniture into a Dubai apartment tower service lift

    Apartment movers in Dubai

Studios to four-bedroom apartments across every tower community in the city. The controlling factors in an apartment move are the lift slot and the carrying distance, not the furniture, which is why we confirm the service lift window before dispatching a truck. Many buildings restrict moves to weekday daytime hours and block Friday prayer times entirely, and in a single-service-lift tower a missed slot costs the whole day. We plan the schedule around your building rules rather than around ours.

Moving crew loading villa furniture from a driveway in a Dubai gated community

    Villa movers in Dubai

Villas in Arabian Ranches, The Springs, Dubai Hills, Al Barsha, Jumeirah, Damac Hills, Mudon and Al Furjan move on different constraints. There is no lift, so the job turns on staircases, gate pass approval, long driveways, and garden and majlis furniture that was assembled in place and has to be dismantled to leave. Villa moves need a bigger crew and a longer day, and from four bedrooms upward they are usually a two-truck job. Some communities also require enclosed vehicles for furniture transport, which we arrange in advance.

Packed cartons and wrapped furniture ready for a full household move in Dubai

House shifting and full household relocation

The standard Dubai lease-turnover move: an entire home emptied on one date and rebuilt on another, usually with a permit at both ends and often a storage gap in the middle. We plan it backwards from the handover inspection at the old property rather than forwards from the loading time, because the security deposit at the old address is frequently worth more than the move itself, and the things that put it at risk — repainting, AC servicing, cleaning standard — all need calendar space before the inspection.

Office workstations being dismantled for a commercial move in Dubai

    Office and commercial movers

Workstations, IT, filing and stock, shifted in phases so the business does not lose a working day. Most Dubai office moves run Friday evening through Sunday so staff arrive Monday to a working floor. The two things that derail them are permits and connectivity: commercial towers generally want move approvals five to ten working days ahead at both buildings, and fibre activation with e& or du takes up to ten working days, longer if the building needs new cabling. Both go in the plan before the move date is confirmed.

Two movers carrying a single wrapped sofa to a covered van in Dubai

    Furniture movers and single-item moves

One sofa, one wardrobe, one fridge, a bed bought off Dubizzle. Priced as a job rather than as a fraction of a home move, and including dismantling and reassembly where the item needs it. Single-item moves are the ones large movers usually refuse and a man with a pickup usually botches. The middle ground is a proper two-man crew with blankets, straps and a covered load.

Packer wrapping glassware in bubble wrap beside labelled double-wall cartons

    Packing and unpacking

Almost all transit damage traces back to three things: single-wall cartons, boxes packed to the wrong density, and fragile items layered loose instead of wrapped individually. Our packers work room by room with double-wall cartons and wardrobe boxes with hanging rails, label every carton with its origin room, destination room and handling instruction, and build a written inventory as they go. You can take full packing, partial packing covering just the kitchen, glassware and wardrobes, or supply-only where we bring the materials and you pack. Unpacking at the other end includes placement into cupboards and wardrobes and removal of all cardboard.

Technician reassembling a wardrobe frame with bagged fixings taped to the panel

    Furniture assembly and disassembly

A three-door wardrobe or a king bed frame does not fit through a service lift or a standard door frame assembled, so dismantling is not optional in most Dubai homes. Standard furniture that is part of your move — beds, wardrobes, dining tables, desks, bookcases, TV mounts — is dismantled and rebuilt as part of the job at no separate charge, with fixings bagged and taped to the frame. Assembling brand-new flat-pack furniture, fitting custom joinery or mounting wall-fixed units is separate work and priced per item, and it is worth bundling into the move visit rather than booking a second call-out.

Wrapped and labelled household goods stored on racking in a Dubai warehouse

    Short-term storage

For lease gaps, renovations, snagging periods and summer travel. Dubai handover and Ejari start dates rarely line up, and the gap is usually the problem rather than the move. Goods are wrapped, logged against a written inventory, photographed on intake and delivered back on your agreed date. Storage is month to month with no annual commitment, and priced on the volume your goods actually occupy rather than on a fixed-size room you half fill. The first seven days are free where the storage is caused by a date gap on a move with us.

Climate-controlled long-term storage aisle with inventoried household crates

    Long-term storage

For overseas assignments, extended travel and furniture you are keeping but not using. Rates fall with commitment length, so a twelve-month agreement costs meaningfully less per month than rolling monthly. Everything is stored climate-controlled, which in Dubai is a specification rather than an upgrade: an unventilated store passes 60°C in summer, and at those temperatures wood warps, leather cracks, adhesives fail and electronics degrade within weeks. Flammable liquids, gas cylinders, aerosols, perishables and live plants cannot be stored, and we check the inventory before intake rather than after.

Small moving van loaded quickly outside a Dubai apartment building

    Same-day and urgent moves

Same-day moving works when the property is small, it is already packed or close to it, and no permit is outstanding. It fails when a permit is pending, a lift slot cannot be secured, specialist items are involved, or vehicle access has to be arranged — and it fails on the day, in your empty living room, which is the worst possible time to discover it. We will tell you honestly which of those two situations you are in before taking the booking rather than after.

Shipping container being loaded for an international household move at Jebel Ali

    International moving and overseas shipping

Door-to-door relocation out of the UAE through Jebel Ali, by full container for a whole household, shared container for part loads, or air freight when speed matters more than cost. Two things decide whether an international quote is real. First, whether it is port to port or door to door — a cheap online figure often excludes packing in Dubai and customs and delivery at the far end. Second, whether destination terminal handling charges are named, because they otherwise arrive as a bill when you have no leverage. We quote door to door with those charges itemised. Start planning three months out: visa cancellation, sea transit and customs clearance all have to sequence against your handover date.

Crew moving a wrapped upright piano on a padded skid board

Piano, fine art and high-value items

An upright piano weighs 300 to 500 kilos and a concert grand up to 1,200, and both are wooden instruments under tension travelling through a climate that turns a standard truck into an oven. Instruments and artwork travel climate-controlled, are given time to acclimatise before tuning, and are crated in timber where the piece warrants it. The point most people miss is insurance: standard weight-based mover liability does not cover an item of this value. An all-risk policy against a declared value does, and we arrange it as part of the job rather than leaving it to you to discover afterwards.

Movers manoeuvring a heavy safe on a hydraulic lifting trolley

Safes, gym equipment and heavy items

Safes, multi-station gym rigs, treadmills, marble and stone tops, full-height glass and large aquariums. Every item in this category is surveyed individually, because weight, access route and whether stair carry or lifting equipment is needed change the job completely — this is the one part of a move where a phone estimate is genuinely dangerous. Aquariums must be drained and livestock rehomed before the move date.

Technician re-racking server equipment after an office relocation in Dubai

    IT and server relocation

Server decommission, ESD-protected transport, re-racking and reconnection, sequenced separately from the furniture and scheduled so testing completes before staff return. Asset inventory is captured before shutdown and reconciled on arrival. For regulated businesses we produce chain-of-custody documentation for the transport leg. An office with a real server room is a different project from a laptop-only office, and pricing it as though it were the same is how office moves go wrong.

Freshly painted and deep-cleaned empty apartment ready for handover inspection

    Move-out cleaning, painting and clearance

A Dubai move does not end when the truck leaves. Security deposits are lost in five predictable places: repainting, un-serviced AC, cleaning below handover standard, physical damage, and unpaid DEWA or district cooling. We coordinate the handover work in the right order — make-good, then painting with proper drying time, then the deep clean, then the inspection — and clear anything not worth moving, with functional furniture and electronics going to donation rather than disposal. Doing this in sequence costs a fraction of what the deductions do.

Tell us what is moving and where. You get one fixed written price after the survey.

    Why choose us

    Why choose Mover E Dubai

Every moving company in Dubai says the same six things: professional, affordable, experienced, no hidden charges, stress-free. None of it is checkable before you've already paid. So here is what we'll commit to instead — things you can hold us to.

    Our six commitments

The price on the quote is the price on the invoice.

We survey before we quote, count what actually has to move, and put one figure in writing. Not an hourly rate that runs over, not a phone estimate that gets revised on the truck. If the number changes, it's because you added items — and you'll know before we load them, not after.

We handle the paperwork your building will stop you for.

Permit applications, service lift bookings, trade licence and public liability insurance certificates submitted directly to your tower or community management. Most Dubai moves that fail don't fail because of the mover. They fail at security, on the morning, because a permit was still pending or an insurance certificate had expired. We track that chain so you don't discover it at 8am.

    Our crew is our crew.

Trained packers and drivers on our own payroll, not day labour hired for the morning. The coordinator who surveys your home is the one you call on moving day, and the lead packer walks the inventory with you at both ends — before loading and before signing off at the destination.

We'll tell you when the answer is no.

If your date won't work because the permit won't clear in time, we'll say so. If an item can't be moved safely — a marble top with an existing crack, a flat-pack wardrobe already moved twice — we'll flag it at the survey rather than lift it and argue afterwards. If a same-day move isn't realistic for your building, you'll hear that before you book, not on the day.

A damage claim has a procedure, not a promise.

Note it on the delivery sheet before the crew leaves and send photos within 48 hours. We assess in three working days and resolve by repair, replacement or settlement within ten. What isn't covered — items you packed yourself in cartons that arrive undamaged — we say upfront rather than burying it. "Fully insured" without a process behind it means nothing at the moment you need it.

    Dubai is the whole business.

We don't spread across seven emirates. We know which towers have one shared service lift, which communities require enclosed vehicles, which developers verify a DEWA connection before approving a move-in permit, and which older buildings need nothing at all. That's the difference between a four-hour job and an eight-hour one.

Hold us to all six. Start with a survey and a written number.

    Building access

    Permits, NOCs and building access

This is the part that decides whether your move happens on the day you booked it. In a managed Dubai tower or a gated community, a truck without an approved permit does not pass security, and at that point the crew, the price and the schedule are all irrelevant.

    You handle

    Questions

    Frequently asked questions

Ten questions we get before almost every Dubai move, answered without the small print.

    Not answered here?

Send us the building name and property size. A coordinator replies, not a bot.

Local moves start from AED 700 for a studio and rise with the size of the property and the amount of packing you want us to do. The figure depends on volume, building access and packing scope rather than on bedroom count alone, which is why we survey before quoting. A price given over the phone without an inventory is an estimate, not a quote.

In most managed towers and gated communities, yes. Building or community management issues a move-in or move-out permit, and security can refuse your movers entry without it. Approval usually takes one to three working days, so apply at least five days ahead. Older, non-managed low-rise buildings often require nothing.

A valid trade licence and a public liability insurance certificate covering common areas, valid on your moving date. We supply both and submit them on request. A missing insurance certificate is the most common reason a permit application is declined.

No. They are two separate approvals, and having one does not give you the other. The lift is booked for a fixed time window, usually against a refundable deposit paid at the security desk.

For tenants, yes in practice. Ejari registration triggers DEWA activation automatically, and several developers verify an active DEWA connection before approving a move-in permit. For a move-out permit, expect to be asked for the DEWA final bill rather than a monthly one.

Two weeks for a straightforward move, three to four weeks between September and November or at end of month, four to six weeks for an office move with permits at both buildings, and three months for an international shipment.

Yes, and it is included in the move price. Beds, wardrobes, dining tables, desks and TV mounts are dismantled with the fixings bagged to the frame, and rebuilt at the destination before the crew leaves. Assembling brand-new flat-pack furniture is separate work, priced per item.

Yes. Goods are wrapped, logged against an inventory and stored climate-controlled, then delivered on your agreed date. The first seven days are free where the storage is caused by a lease date gap on a move with us.

Not between 12:30pm and 3:00pm. UAE law prohibits outdoor work in direct sunlight during those hours from 15 June to 15 September. We schedule summer moves before 12:30pm or after 3:00pm and split larger villa moves across two days.

Record it on the delivery inventory sheet before the crew leaves and photograph it, then send it to your coordinator within 48 hours. We assess within three working days and resolve by repair, replacement or settlement within ten working days.
